Helpful Hint

If you’re going to fake your suicide to avoid prison, it’s better not to write the note in the past tense.

  1. Maybe I’m wrong, but the note made sense to me. If I’m about to off myself and leave a note, I’m writing it for those that will be finding it. I’m not going to write, “I’m going to kill myself because.” Nope. I’ll say, “I did this because . . . ” but it would be equally plausible to write, “I took my life on [date] because . . . .”

Sheesh. I just spent a Thursday evening contemplating suicide notes.
